Escape Room Maze is one of our popular fun team building activities with low physical requirements, and is fit for all ages. Our venue is the Chartwell Castle near Montecasino, Cedar Road in Fourways, and Cosmo City. You can also book this as a Half Fun Day Event (±3hrs). Email quotes@ksmart.co.za with the date and number of people.A minimum of 3 teams of ±10 people per team are required for this event, max 100 people. Available from Mon to Fridays. Amazing Race, Escape Room Maze, and BraaiMaster at the Chartwell Catle Maze in Fourways
Chartwell Castle is the most beautiful medieval team building venue in Joburg, nested in the Fourways countryside estates, and has an maze that we use as an Outdoor Escape Room. 09h00 - Arrival Coffee and Muffins by the Pool Area
09h20 Ice Breakers, Group Activities, and Dividing Teams
The entire group do fun activities, at some time the mix of buddies and friends will be split apart. Then everybody get a number. All the “number 1’s” would be in a team, and all the “number 2’s” in another team, etc. About ten people per team works great for a team building event.
10h00 Amazing Race Chartwell Castle (less than 500m)
Our Amazing Race has low physical requirements and is fit for all ages. Each of our venues have their own unique Amazing Race. Teams start with a short detour, then they have to find interesting places and WhatsApp a group photo, find puzzles of actual places, and finally they finish by finding an iconic venue. These photos are shown in a slide slow during lunch. Our Amazing Race is hilarious and requires lots of imagination and creativity.
11h00 - Refreshments by the Pool Area
Assorted Toasted Sandwiched, including Chick Mayo, Cheese & Tom, etc. Soft Drink or Bottled Water
11h15 - MasterChef Potjiekos Competition
This Potjie Competition takes place in the middle of the maze. Each team get a Mystery Box with a new braai, charcoal, firelighters, chef hats, aprons, and utensils. Mystery Boxes also may include herbs, spices, sauces, plastic chrome cutlery and Crockery etc, and teams have to “trade” or “swop” these goodies to braai. Meat include Beef, Lamb, and Chicken (all meat is halaal, ask for butcher’s receipt). Teams have to cook a potjie that represents a country.
13h00 Potjiekos is judged and served with Soft Drinks are served
Potjies are judged and served with Soft Drinks - The Potjies are served with Pap, Gravy, Baby Potatoes, and Three Assorted Salads.
- Vegetarian and Vegan - braai veggie kebabs and dish from the salads, or bring your own veggie lunch
- Halal Meals - all meat is from Laudium Halaal Butcher or the Forsmay Muslim Butchery in Fordsburg (ask for receipt), New braai, utensils, chrome plastic crockery, paper plates
- Kosher Meals - we regret, no Kosher delivery are available for this area
14h00 - Winners Announced and Depart at Leisure
The venue closes at 16h00
